The New Day in Port A Fund was formed in conjunction with the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce, the City of Port Aransas and Cinnamon Shore in response to Hurricane Harvey that occurred in Port Aransas, Texas on August 25, 2017. The fund was established to assist hurricane victims with support and recovery. The New Day Fund will continue to accept donations from all sectors and be utilized solely on the recovery effort on the Port A community from Hurricane Harvey and Port Aransas & Mustang. The Fund was established to assist hurricane victims with support and recovery. As part of our efforts, the Port Aransas and Mustang Island Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau team coordinated filming of local community members and the impact of hurricane Harvey.
